How To Stay Creative At All Times

Let’s face it! Nobody likes struggling with creativity. Sometimes, staying creative can even feel exhausting if it is forced instead of flowing involuntarily through every creative bone in your body.

But don’t worry, you’re not alone. All of us have been there and it is completely normal to be gasping for words and visuals, albeit in vain.

In fact, even the most creative people to walk the face of the Earth struggle to stay creative all the time. Do you wonder how they stay creative at most of the times, if not all?

Well, staying creative is a process, not a one-off activity. It is like a daily routine.

Here are a few things you can do to keep your creative juices flowing at all times:

1) Write Your Ideas

The moment your idea bulb lights up in your head, note it down on a pad or an app or record it in any form you like. It’s very important to save the ideas while they’re fresh.

2) Clear the Clutter

Organising things and removing distractions is a great way to reboot your brain. Get your workspace in order by getting rid of all the unnecessary clutter. It’s bound to inspire you and bombard your brain with new ideas.

3) Company Matters

Your environment and the people around you can help you be more creative or to come out of a slump. When you surround yourself with other creative people, you tend to get motivated  to think better. 

4) Take a Walk

Take a nice, long walk in the nature and observe every thing around you.  The gentle breeze and the beautiful nature around you can rejuvenate you.

5) Meditate

When your mind is constantly working in overdrive, your creative side is might stumble across some roadblocks. Meditation can help you relax and clear your mind of all the stress, anxiety and unnecessary thoughts. Consequently, your mind has more clarity and energy to function.

6) Try New Things

Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things that challenge you. That’s how you step out of your creative comfort zone and step up.

7) Keep Learning

Make sure that you’re always learning something new and useful to keep yourself updated.  There are tons of free online courses on learning websites, YouTube videos and so much more. It’s also a great way to network and exchange ideas with your peers.

8) Join A Club

Join a creative club with like-minded people. Free-flow of ideas and insightful decisions in a comfortable environment can give you the inspiration you were missing. Furthermore, a weekly club or meetup ensures consistency in brainstorming and team-building which enhances creativity.
